Kappa Deltas are inspired to act. Kappa Delta makes a difference not only in its members’ lives, but also in the lives of women and children around the world. We take great pride in our efforts to strengthen community service initiatives that build confidence in those around us.
HELPING BUILD GIRLS OF COURAGE, CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER.
In 1998, Kappa Delta Sorority welcomed Girl Scouts of the USA as one of its national philanthropies. Through this incredible partnership, Kappa Delta members make a difference with more than 14,000 girls each year across the country. Kappa Delta is proud to help Girl Scouts “build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.” Kappa Deltas serve as mentors and volunteers, reinforcing our common values of honesty, integrity, friendship and leadership. Collegiate and alumnae chapters host confidence-building programs, educational events, campus tours and other activities with Girl Scouts in their communities.
HELP PREVENT CHILD ABUSE.
Since 1981, Kappa Delta has been a proud supporter of Prevent Child Abuse America, an organization founded by the late Donna Stone, one of our own Kappa Delta sisters. To date, Kappa Delta has donated more than $35 million to prevent child abuse in our country. Thousands of KDs in hundreds of communities nationwide host Shamrock events every year to raise money for national and local child abuse prevention efforts. Kappa Delta is committed to helping strengthen families and improving the lives of children because there’s nothing that destroys a child’s confidence more than abuse.
Epsilon Omicron Philanthropy
Service is one of Kappa Delta's core values, and our members are dedicated to making a lasting impact in our community. Through our national partnerships with Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) and Girl Scouts of the USA, we strive to empower children, strengthen families, and inspire the next generation of confident leaders. The women of Epsilon Omicron are proud to support these organizations through fundraising, volunteerism, and meaningful community engagement.Each year, the Epsilon Omicron Chapter hosts Kappa Delta Shakedown, our annual dance competition benefiting Prevent Child Abuse America and our local beneficiary, Children's Home Society of Florida – Orlando. This year, our chapter raised over $160,000, making it one of our most successful fundraising efforts to date. Beyond fundraising, our sisters work closely with Children's Home Society by volunteering throughout the year and personally presenting our annual donation, helping support their mission of strengthening children and families across Central Florida.Kappa Delta is proud to foster confidence, courage, and leadership in young girls through our partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA. Throughout the year, Epsilon Omicron welcomes local Girl Scout troops to our chapter house for badge-earning events and interactive activities led by our members. Our sisters also volunteer at local Girl Scout programs and events, creating meaningful connections while encouraging girls to become the leaders of tomorrow.
